[Excuse the cross-posting, but I figured there might be more people over
in comp.sys.att that could help with this question...]

I have 386BSD running on an AT&T 386 based StarStation (kind of ironic really,
especially since the machine was won in a competition :-) The OS works
fine, and the machine is connected to our campus network using a western
digital ethernet card. Now, I would like to be able to try using the ethernet
card on the motherboard, but I don't know what kind of card it is. I could not
see any mention in the manuals we received, nothing in any of the BIOS setup
screens identified it, and the machine came straight from AT&T in the U.S
rather than via distributors here in NZ who I could easily ask.

Assuming it was one of AT&T's own cards, I built a kernel that included
a driver for the StarLAN-10/EN-100 series cards, recently posted to alt.sources
by Garrett Wollman. The resulting kernel failed to find the card during
autoconfiguration. Before I start digging deeper to discover whether I
installed the driver correctly, I would like some confirmation (or otherwise)
that I am on the right track.

On a related note, I would appreciate knowing what type of graphics adaptor
the motherboard contains - ie, VGA or SVGA, which chipset, etc. Again, I can
find nothing in the manuals that gives this information.

All I can find that might help identify the machine are the numbers stamped
on the back, which are "MODEL CPU-G73B, PEC 3734-G73B CC 106788821".

I would be grateful if anyone could provide the information, suggest where I
could get it from, or tell me what else I need to provide to allow the
components to be identified.

Thanks in advance.
