Brian -

Yep - it turned out to be a problem on our ISP's side! Three days later.  If I was more
sure of my setup - I'd have called them sooner.  The PPP.doc could use a couple 
diagrams to help us idiots be sure about the settings.  

I've advanced considerably since my last post - guess all of this time has had some
positives.  I'm running my reader on a WS on the LAN through the BSD box right now.
