I have patches to make FreeBSD cc use pipes by default (really zooms,
especially with the nifty new unified VM/buffer cache in 2.0). This is of
small utility, since it's really easy to insert an 'exec cc.real -pipe'
shell wrapper around cc, but that adds overhead to the startup. Besides, I
had the code already lying around, just had to apply to FreeBSD.

If you want it, send e-mail.
