  tclmidi-2.1 includes drivers for BSD/OS, NetBSD, Linux and SVR4.
I imagine it wouldn't take make effort to make it work with FreeBSD.
You can ftp it from ftp://xor.com/pub/midi/tclmidi-2.1.tar.gz.
  I think there are some people working on writing a sequencer using
tclmidi as a base.
