i am setting up sliplogin on a bsd machine. when it starts up, the
pc (running trumpet winsock) complains about a bad checksum in crc
header and all packets from the net are rejected.

the interface (sl0) seems to be ifconfig'ed correctly and the route to
the machine is added, and i can watch packets cross the modem, but
crc checksum problem causes no traffic to move. this pc establishes
slip with two different systems, so i think the problem is not on the
PC.

i have tried with and without compression - no difference.

freebsd release 2.0
sliplogin dated Nov 22(94) size 12288, cksum of 1457722754
