Greetings people; I posted here a little while ago concerning a problem
I was having with ar and ranlib (ranlib puking on an ar archive).

The problem appears to be with the long-name support in ar; when
reading the archive, the header for the file _after_ the one with the
long name is read incorrectly. Whether this is due to incorrect
positioning, or whether the pad-to-even calculation is broken, I'm
not sure.

Having found the cause of the problem, I've worked around it for now, given
that I have other things to worry about 8(

What's the status on this one? Fixed in 2.1? Unknown? New to the world?

Ta.
