The Empire 2100 is a $1100 drive and the Barracuda is a $2200 drive, with twice the capacity. If you want to be really fair, try benchmarking the Quantum Grand Prix against the Barracuda. I think that Quantum is going to be getting all of my business from now on - their product is just so much nicer and more RELIABLE! I've had 2 Barracudas die now, possibly from insufficient cooling mind you, but the cooling demands made by the Quantums are far less stringent. Don't ask me why!.
