I wasn't  very clear on  that, I guess.  I think that creating three groups
per system is too much. And  that creating 386bsd.misc in  place of all the
groups  is   not enough.   I'd  prefer   a renaming   of  c.o.386bsd.* into
comp.os.bsd.*, a hierarchy for all *BSD based systems.

Having .help, .development,  .questions  ... is  good but I  don't  want to
multiply third levels (386bsd.*, freebsd.* and such.).

But we have that much to work with.  The current naming scheme (.386bsd) is
not good but I think  your scheme is  worse. You'll have to re-separate the
.misc into subject-related groups later because of the amount of traffic.

And  recreate  .help, .apps    after ? I     don't think it  is  worth  the
trouble. Better  to stick with comp.os.386bsd.* now  and try to rename them
in 6 months into comp.os.bsd.*.
