Hi all,

If anybody is willing to walk a newbie through the compiling
of BRL-CAD I'd really appreciate it. At the moment I can't even
get past decrypting the sources, evidently for want of crypt.
That's especially odd given that password encryption seems to work
fine. Even the little crypt-substitute enigma.c provided with
BRL-CAD fails with

makekey: No such file or directory
crypt: cannot execute 'makekey', aborting
crypt: cannot generate key

I thought that all encryption functions were included in securedist;
is something else required?

thanks for reading!
