I would consider using xntpd (ive been running this on FreeBSD 1.1.5.1 for 
months). Its much easier to configure (and besides that, twas what every
one else used here) :-)

Find out perhaps what the other systems are running...

An archie search for xntpd will find it closest to you, or I
can direct you somewhere in Australia if you like.
