I wouldnt know about the Lada being robust or not... but I do agree
with at least one point you made. The Lada was designed for a very
cold, snow-ridden country. You try running a Lada in 40C heat in
peak hour traffic then youve got to expect it to break down. It was
not designed for those conditions. I bet a Ferrari couldnt handle
bush-driving or treks across Antarctica. It makes no sense to bash
the Lada based upon its performance in hot, dry countries.
