I'm trying to use a TEAC scsi tape drive and seem to
be having problems. I'm hoping someone may
be able to point me in the right direction to
try to track down the problems.

From dmesg the drive seems to be seen ok:

bt0 targ 5 lun 0: type 1(sequential) removable SCSI1
bt0 targ 5 lun 0: <TEAC MT-2ST/N50 RV F>
st1: density code 0x88, 512-byte blocks, write-enabled

But when I try to use it I get:

tar tf /dev/rst1
tar: read error on /dev/rst1 : Input/output error

Any suggestions on what to check into?
Thanks,
