Summary: Getting kernel sources only...

Hello,

Some people have been asking about how to get just the kernel sources
instead of the whole thing. Here are the steps I took to get them.

1. FTP to agate.berkeley.edu (or anysite that has a tar capable ftp)
2. cd to /pub/386BSD/386bsd-0.1/filesystem/usr/src
3. type 'get sys.386bsd.tar.Z' and the system should open a path for
/bin/tar and will also compress it. You can also type
'get sys.386bsd.tar' and you get just a tar file.
4. Take this file to your 386bsd system and un-tar in the /usr/src dir.
5. You now have the kernel sources to hack and break.

Maybe someone who has a ftp site open could go do this and let the net know
instead of overloading poor agate with tar transfers.

Hope it helps.
