"Public scene"?  I don't see the original posting as making a public scene.  
It was intelligible, factual, and informational.  The only "scene"-like thing 
in it is a (fairly mild) response to a (fairly clear) insult.

I'm a former Amiga user, and believe me, the stereotypical rabid Amiga Fan (a 
minority, albeit a vocal one) wouldn't *dream* of posting something so 
rational.
