Recently, someone posted an article on vendor supplied boot blocks
that do geometry translation by redirecting INT 13.

I am seeking a copy of that article.

I have searched the news archives under the topics "boot" and "EIDE"
and a couple of others, but come up empty.

This article was by someone that referred to themselves as an outsider
expressing concern, so I know that this is a long shot.

I believe the article specifically referenced OEM supplied master boot
records. It think it also referenced "Gateway" and "EIDE", specifically
the Gateway > 500M EIDE disks.

If you have a copy of the article, or if you are the author, or if you
can simply point me at the thing, I'd be grateful.
