I have two problems with my printer in FreeBSD I would like to see if
anyone can help me with.

1. Does anyone has a proper printer filter for a HP Deskjet printer.

2. In the /etc/printcap entry for my printer using lpa0 I have used
a :fs#0000020: entry to set LF - CR/LF translation on. But this
doesn't seem to work. Is this only valid for a tty? If not how
do I go about setting LF -CR/LF translation on for a lpa interface?

I don't want to, but I could write the code for a daemon and a client
process that would handle the translation and do a dump to the /dev/lpa0
device file. This is a way I could get around my ignorance and print
text files.

Thanks,
MMood
