Xperts,

I noticed that my mpeg_play(1) always complain that my server isn't XShm
savvy.

I run FreeBSD-1.1.5.1 on my PC at work, and recently reconfigured the
kernel to include SYSV'ish (yehh) shared memory mechanism. It booted
just fine. Now what? My server still doesn't detect SHM stuff, so I
even downloaded XFree86 link kit (both 2.1.1. and 3.1) but found *no*
mention on XShm support in the distributions.

How do I incorporate XShm stuff into my server, given that my kernel
indeed has such options working? Do I have to extract the whole X11R6
tarballs and start from the complete scratch?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
junichi
