Oh my....You are obviously a warped DOS user. When was the last time you e-mailed Microsoft about a bug and it was fixed and available to EVERYONE in 2 days (hmm, Linux does that)? When was the last time you took your System 7.x app and repaired the source code yourself because of a bug (hey Linux can do that). When was the last time you e-mailed the actual person who wrote your OS/2 app and got a bug fix (ditto). Linux is supported by people who want to USE it and they write could that works because of this same reason. The motivation is themselves, not money. You have the source to it, if you get really desparate, you can hire someone to fix it (or even do it yourself).
