Hello,
This question may not really belong here, however my system will be
running FreeBSD so I cant think of anywhere better.

OK, I'm building a system. 486DX2-80, E-IDE HD, SoundBlaster I have
laying around. If I buy one of these cheap/slow Mitsumi CD-ROMS (I use
the CD-ROM more as a CD-Player than anything) will I be able to:

1) use it as a CD-Player?
2) hook it up to the SB (so as to use it's speakers, like a SB16)
3) will xcdplayer (or whatever) run the Mitsumi?

Any war-stories/experience with this scenario would be appreciated.
