And I've already made changes! :-) It was brought to my attention
that my changes to mkioconf.c (part of config) weren't compatible
with Chris Demetriou's driver flags patches, which I hadn't installed.
So, I've cleaned up my stuff a bit, fixed the indentation I stupidly
changed in fd.c and mkioconf.c, and made two versions of the relevant
files available -- with or without Chris's patches installed.

(Chris' and my changes can't be made into mutually exclusive patches,
since they change some of the same things.)

As before, the new stuff is available by anonymous ftp to my DS5000,
barsoom.nhh.no. The README file explains things, and the files that
have names ending in .COM.CGD include the driver flags patches.
