I have been trying to use a 3c509 and then a 3c579 on FreedBSD 2.0R
for a while now, but I had no lock yet.

the kernel has no problem finding the cards and assigns ep0
to them.

after running ifconfig I can ping the assigned ip#
but I can not ping any servers on my network.

by the way the hub does not show a port-link for the PC when in FreeBSD
but in DOS it does.

when pinging other servers the hub port-link light flashes.

Thanks in advance
