Why do people keep discussing free software vs. commercially supported
software? The purchase and commerical support are COMPLETELY
ORTHOGONAL CONCEPTS! I can pay cash money for software, and have it
be not supported. I can get free software (gnu, FreeBSD, Linux,
whatever) and then buy support for it. If you want to kvetch about
unsupported software, then call it that, and don't impune free
software becuase you weren't bright enough to buy support for your
software.

IF YOU WANT COMMERCIAL SUPPORT, THEN BUY COMMERCIAL SUPPORT! It's got
nothing to do with whether the software is free or purchased. There
are several companies that provide commercial support for Linux.
There are several companies that provide commercial support for Gnu
software. If you go to the market and buy apples, stop bitching about
how you didn't get oranges.
