If you are running the generic kernel... you should note the config file has
no line in it for com4.  You need to make a new kernel config file from the
one you are currently using... grab the line for the 4th com port from the
ALL config file, config, and 'make' a new bootable.

If you have NO CLUE about what I am typing about, just try using com3
instead :-)
