Having an unpleasant time trying to install some of the packages off
the january 2.0 CD:

When extracting, for example, Xaw3d, I get this :

spam# pkg_add -v Xaw3d_bin.tgz
Projected package size: 1082584 bytes, free temp space: 101617664 bytes
extract: Package name is Xaw3d_bin
extract: CWD to /usr/X386
extract: /usr/X386/include/X11/Xaw3d
extract: /usr/X386/include/X11/Xaw3d/AllWidgets.h
tar: can't add file include/X11/Xaw3d/AllWidgets.h : No such file or directory
tar: not found in archive
extract: /usr/X386/include/X11/Xaw3d/AsciiSink.h
tar: can't add file include/X11/Xaw3d/AsciiSink.h : No such file or directory
tar: not found in archive

... the package ends up registered, but the files complained about don't
make it.

I'm running the install as root, under tcsh; using sh doesn't seem to help.
Most affected seem to be manpages, include files and libraries, but some
packages lose everything.

Unpacking the archives manually works fine, but isn't the best way of doing
things, for obvious reasons.

Another minor gripe; out of the 2.0 CD install, /tmp is not world-writable.
This can cause serious grief 8)
