I feel I must retract what I said.  After thinking about all that 
has been discussed on this thread, I must admit that there are lots
of great reasons to merge.  If this can be done gracefully and without
hurting people's feelings then I am all for it.  This whole discussion
is something you have to sleep on to figure out...

Besides, OpenBSD has a nifty ring to it.  (Names can do alot. Look at Linux)
