When I try to compile Sendmail 8.6.9 on FreeBSD 2.0R using gcc 2.6.2, I get
the following messages:

I've no clue what it's talking about. Possibly there is some problem
with the MAKEDEF macro, I dunno. Has anyone else seen this and solved
it?

The only reason I want to recompile sendmail is to turn off the use of
IDENT. Is there a runtime flag or a configuration option I could use
instead?

Thanks in advance!
