I keep getting hard disk errors, when I run the most recent version of
FreeBSD on my system.

The most common error I get is:

   wd1: interrupt timeout; wd1: status 59 <seekdone,erq> error 0

This occurs on a daily, if not more frequent, basis; each time I get this
error, I get others as well, such as:

   Kernel:pid 171:sh: uid 0: exited on signal 11

I'm running a 486 Cyrix chip, at 25mhz, in burst mode, which gives me a
throughput of approximately 33mhz.

I upgraded to 2.0.5 from 2.0, release 2; but still have the same problem.

Any help on this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Rick.
