Greetings,
When trying to connect to our FreeBSD box using Telnet or Mosiac, the is a great delay by the time a prompt ( for telnet ) or the homepage ( for Mosaic ) comes up. Often the delay lasts 2-3 minutes which is rather slow for our network. Ping returns 0 avg return times so I feel it is not the network, but some part of the setup for inetd or something similar.

Any pointers, suggestions.

cheers
Ranjan
