This was a joke but I forgot to put in ':-)'.  What I was implying is that
I know that you can put Unix on a 68000 without a MMU (Minix does this) but
it is a lot of additional work beyond the port that uses a MMU.  Also the
resulting system will usually lack protection between processes address spaces
and virtual memory support among other things.

Hmmm.  I didn't realize that some 680x0 work had already been released in
Net-2.  Go get'up Tiger.
