I hope this is not the wrong place to ask this question.....
A friend of mine who has a 386 (no Windows) wants to be able to send email
to his son overseas. I am trying to find a simple way to get this person
internet access. They won't need access to newsgroups or FTP or anything
fancy, just mail, and it needs to be SIMPLE, because he is a total
novice. I thought I might try America Online, even though there might be
cheaper ways (though the cost is not too much of an issue, and the $9.95 a
month for 5 hours would be more htan enough) but I have no idea what their
DOS interface is like. Without the Windows interface, I figure there
might be a better way than to use a national service like AOL. This
person is in Los Angeles. If anyone has any thoughts on this, I would
very much appreciate any tips. Email replies would be great, though I
will check back here as well. Thanks
