I am considering adding an Intel-/PC-clone to my collection of hardware
and was wondering what experiences anyone might have had with a setup
like the following (low budget, concerned w/ performance ;-):

	AMD DX2/80 motherboard, pentium upgradable
	PCI/VLB/ISA
	NCR-based PCI scsi
	PCI ethernet
herc video (reuse old equipment & login over local network)

I'd like the PCI cards so I can reuse them when I get a PCI-bussed
PowerPC later.

Primary applications would be compiling/software development stuff.
Perhaps boot/file services...

Comments/suggestions?
(e-mail preferred, but of course I'll scan the newsgroup, too ;-)

Thanks,
-allen
