I tried to compile bash-1.14.2 under FreeBSD 2.0. As recommended
in the INSTALL file, I simply entered 'make'.
There was a complain with two defines which were enclosed in " ".
I removed " " and then compiling and linking went out of the box.
Unfortunately, the resulting executable coredumped :-(
On the console a message from the kernel appeared that bash
died bcause of a signal 11.
What's wrong there?
I never had these problems on earlier versions of *BSD, even
386bsd-0.1.
