I have heard that NetBSD supports the "ifconfig alias" command, which
will allow multiple IP numbers to be assigned to a single machine. I
would like to know what limitations there are to this, as far as how
many IP numbers can be assigned to a single machine, any restrictions
on what those IP numbers may be, and any restrictions on how those IP
numbers can function.

I'd also like to know which of the *BSD OS's this is supported in (I
was told NetBSD 1.0, but about FreeBSD?).

Thanks.
