First I try to set it up on an existing Dell. I keep getting (like some others of you), the zcat / can't unzip package, error. OK. I buy a dedicated 486 machine to run the as-of-yet-un-installable-os. I get an adaptec 2842 card. Floppy port is fried. I replace it with a Future Domain TMC-1680 SVP card (SCSI+floppy on one card). I recalled that Future Domain was one of the supported SCSI cards. Floppy works fine, get to the FDisk phase of install. FreeBSD don't understand new SCSI card. ARRRRRGGGGHHHHH.. Is there any hope on the horizon for this new little wizzy card?
