I got Taylor-UUCP working, too. But there are a problems.
The first thing I had	to do was to copy the	UUCP-executables from
/usr/libexec/uucp to /usr/bin for example. /usr/libexec/uucp isn't in
the search part, so the uucico-daemon wasn't started correctly.
Second there are some permission problems. I solved them but I didn't
care for system security. (Well, I just wanted this UUCP work). You
have to change the ownership of /var/spool/uucp/* to "uucp". Also you
must allow UUCP to access /var/spool/lock. And of course
/var/spool/log/aculog.	I think there are more of these permission
problems, but they are quite easy to solve. I can't understand why
there are so many permission problems. Why wasn't the binary tested
before released to the people?

Eh, well, that's also my problem. The first thing I did was to set
the "routedflags" in /etc/rc to "NO". So, the startup scripts doesn't
start the router. Then you have to configure the /etc/hosts file.
Please don't alter the entry for "localhost"! If you have done this,
a call to gethostbyname will return correct results if you query for
a name. See the manpages for gethostbyname for further help.
I think there's a problem with sendmail. I think the sample
sendmail.cf file is for a site connected	via ethernet to the
internet. Has anybody a correct sendmail.cf? Or, does anybody know
which version of sendmail is supplied with 386BSD 0.1?
