I'm having problems reading a tape made by a Sparc in
FreeBSD. The tape will cause the following errors:

   sd0(aha0:0:0): timed out
   adapter not taking commands... frozen?!
   Debugger("aha1542") called
   aha0: MBO not free

This looks more to me like an adaptec controller jumpered for
the wrong BUS speed, or an unterminated or badly terminated
SCSI bus.

There's nothing about a particular tape format that can cause
this error! This is a hardware configuration problem.
