I've installed popper on my freebsd 1.1.5.1 machine... it "seems" to
work correctly. However, when i try to use Eudora (under Ms-Windows)
to access mail from it, it starts glitching... the usual error is:

Eudora sent:
PASS <Shhh! Don't tell anyone>

Pop server responds:
ERR Paswword supplied for "steve"" is incorrect

Now just to remove the possibility of something truly stupid happeing
I tried to do it manually. I telneted localhost port 110:

USER steve
> Password required for user "steve"
PASS mypassword
> ERR Password supplied for "steve" is incorrect

what is up with this? is the pop3 encrypting the password differently?
