My system has the following configuration:
VLB-486DX50, 20 MB RAM, S3 graphics card (VLB)
AHA 1542C
Tape drive Archive Viper 2525
NEC 84-1 CD-ROM
SyQuest 270 (SCSI)
Conner CP3544 (IDE)

Normally, I'm running ESIX 4.0.4.1 on the Conner.
For test purposes I disable the Conner in the PC BIOS (Award),
so that I can boot from the SyQuest.

After booting the boot floppy of FreeBSD-2.0-ALPHA, installation
was no problem, but as I tried to boot from the SyQuest, I got
endless reboots. I was able to boot, when the boot diskette
is inserted and I entered 'hd(1,a)/kernel' at the boot prompt.

Next problem concerns the CD-ROM:
Entering mount_cd9660 /dev/cd0d /cdrom
causes the message 'Device not configured', although
the CD-drive is accessed (I hear and see it:-)) and
I'm pretty sure that SCSI-CDROM support is in the
GENERIC kernel (at least the CDROM shows up during
bus probing; an inserted CD is correctly recognized).

Someone else having these problems? Note that I have 20 MB RAM,
which is more than the "ISA limit" 16 MB.
