Before anyone says anthing, yes I've read the FAQ :-).

I wanted to get a DAT drive with the pc I'm going to buy.  I was looking
at the HP 35480 (which is supported according to the FAQ) or
perhaps the WangDAT 3400 or the Sony SDT5000 drive neither of which are
noted in the FAQ.

I like the fact that the Sony SDT5000 is DDS2 compliant and the WangDAT
has a somewhat higher capacity.  Of course, I'd be interested to hear
about reliability or other issues relating to these drives.

Has anyone managed to get either of these drives working with either freebsd
or netbsd.  (I haven't decided which one I'm going to run yet :-) ).
