Guckux

I am planning to buy me a new PC. At the moment I use a 386-DX40 with 16MB
and Adaptec... and FreeBSD

The new PC should have PCI with onBoard NCR chip, no discussion...

But, which processor should I use? It is inteded to use the new CPU as a
usenet site and for networking. So the most processes are on the bus,
right?

In this case, is it useful to buy a Pentium (90MHz), will this be really
faster than a 486-DX2? the Pentium costs a lot more... I don't think, that
this will not be really faster... than the normal 486.

Another case: Is there any project to implement the Pentium features of
special risc code in FreeBSD?

Bye
     Stefan
