FreeBSD 1.1.5 comes with ppp-2.0.4 (/usr/libexec/pppd). But it sucks.
It eats up CPU time (always 99% even if totally idle) and the only way
to kill it is SIGKILL.  Really bad. ;(

Using the latest version of pppd (2.1.2) does not cure the problem.
Also the new kernel module does not fit into the 1.1.5 source.
