Does FreeBSD support monochrome graphics cards (the old Hercules standard)?
Is there a kernel option that needs to be changed, or anything else?

I have a FreeBSD system running with a monochrome VGA card, which works
fine, but when I change to a monochrome card, the screen display stops
(except for the cursor) during the bootup sequence.
