Your MBR is hosed. 
   1) put a boot floppy in drive and give her the three finger salute
   2) when the FreeBSD prompt appears, type in 'wd(0,a)/386bsd' to
      bring up the kernel on wd0. Make sure you're "reasonably quick"
      and don't let the floppy be used for the kernel load.
   3) use fdisk(1) to fix the MBR
   4) verify system boots correctly from reset (after orderly shutdown)
