I want to setup a modem for BSD 1.1 - followed the BSD.FAQ
explaining how to make tip and cu working. I got the open
lock error but the suggested solution (ie creating /var/spool/lock)
didn't work.

What's wrong? Please help me, what do I have to do to talk
to my modem? Should I use com0 or tty00?

Any help appreciated,

Johannes

I tried an internal modem but it hurt when I walked.
