	I'm in late on this discussion so please
	excuse any ignorance on this that may follow.

	Before summer I released a piece of software
	that tested the IRQ 7 line for the printer
	port.  The purpose: to see if the IRQ line
	worked for your card.   Bottom line,
	code is available (should be) from freebsd
	and the application is general enough to 
	check for stray IRQs in the DOS enviroment.
