Well I now have 386bsd running on my 486 machine and it looks good.
Trouble is, I cannot seem to get unix to see my dos partition.

I have tried using the relevant program (sorry I left my notes at home)
to edit in an appropriate partition but the program spat my changes
complaining that h was an invalid partition label?? I have compared
my partition information from the 386bsd fdisk information with that
on a friends box and the only difference is that his has something
like 24 bit FAT (or was it 12?) next to the DOS partition. NB:
fdisk does report the dos partition on my machine.

Some partitioning history as background:

1) Started with a virgin hard disk (deleted the DOS partition it came with).
2) Put up 386bsd, specifying a partition size somewhat less than the full disk.
3) Ran DOS fdisk (by booting from a floppy) and made the remainder of the
        disk the primary dos partition.

The system will boot either DOS or 386bsd happily (I use a boot switcher).

Looking forward to some help here!

Tas
