XFree86-3.1 does work with FreeBSD...

I don't recommend Diamond cards...

Currently, I have XFree86-3.1 working on FreeBSD and OSF/1

On my FreeBSD P66 system I have an Actix S3 864 VLB.
On my OSF1 P66 system I have a #9 GXE Pro PCI (S3 964).
The OSF machine is working rather well at 1600x1200 and
there is no reason why the same setup would not work
with FreeBSD.
