I am using lpr to print from a PC to a UNIX PC running lpd. My printer
is an HP LaserJet 4M Plus with JetDirect interface. The printer is
specified as being remote in the printcap file of my UNIX PC.

My question: do filters specified in the printcap entry for the HP LaserJet
get run or does the lpd on the UNIX PC just pass on the print job to the
HP as is?
