It still is, but due to the USL/BSDI lawsuit, Walnut Creek CDROM agreed
to remove Net/2 bits from public distribution.  FreeBSD 1.* is being
replaced by FreeBSD 2.*, which contains NO code in question.

You can still get FreeBSD 1.* from many sites, gatekeeper.dec.com
being one of them.
