I am running BSD 1.1.5.1 and when establishing my ppp connection to
my host who is running BSDI, I get the following error message......

Error - unknown protocol (C025) received!

Does anyone know what this means? I do notice my connection (14.4)
seems rather slow. It takes 38 seconds to transmit a pure text file
of 100kb. I can do the same with zmodem in 1/2 the time.

Any ideas as to what the above error means and how I can correct
it?

Thank you.
